Dr. Stefan Schohe is a registered patent attorney in Germany and a member of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys (www.patentanwalt.de). He is also a professional representative before the European Patent Office and a member of the EPI (Institute of Professional Representatives before the EPO, www.patentepi.org/de) as well as a professional representative before the EUIPO and the Unified Patent Court.

German patent attorneys are subject to the German Patent Attorneys Act (PAO), the Professional Code of Conduct for Patent Attorneys and the Code of Professional Conduct of the Federation Internationale des Conseils en Propriete Industrielle (FICPI). Professional representatives before the European Patent Office are subject to the EPI’s Code of Professional Conduct. Professional representatives before the EUIPO are subject to the rules of the Regulation on the European Union Trade Mark (EU 2017/1001) and the Regulation on Community Designs (EC 6/2002). Professional representatives before the Unified Patent Court are subject to the Code of Conduct for Representatives of the Unified Patent Court. The aforementioned regulations can be found on the websites of the German Chamber of Patent Attorneys, the FICPI, the epi, the Unified Patent Court and the European Union.

The law firm SCHOHE maintains professional liability insurance for its patent attorneys with Allianz Versicherungs-AG, 10900 Berlin. The geographical scope of the insurance cover includes activities in the member states of the European Union and meets at least the requirements of Sections 45 and 45a of the German Patent Attorney Act (PAO).
